Hi Reader, Last week, you didn’t hear from me. But because I felt overwhelmed, the kind of overwhelmed that sneaks up quietly. Black Friday and Cyber Monday took over my inbox. And something about it pulled me into a pause. We’re living in a world that invites us to care about sustainability, minimalism, and slowing down, yet at the same time bombards us with "consume more, hurry up, and don’t miss out." It felt contradictory. And it made me ask myself a bigger question: Am I showing up in a way that aligns with my values… or am I just moving with the noise? So the next morning, on my walk by the ocean, I stopped. Because sometimes you need silence to actually hear yourself (and yes I know that can be very scary 😆). I started thinking about my values, the ones that genuinely guide me as a person, as a coach, as a leader, and as a student. And that reflection led me somewhere deeper. It made me think about my upcoming MBA internship in May. Because here’s the truth I keep coming back to: If we don’t choose our values on purpose, the world will choose for us. And so today, I want to leave you with one simple but powerful question: Do you know what your core values are, and are you actually living them? Not in theory. Next week, I’ll share how this reflection led me to make a significant choice, one that required letting go of something I deeply cared about, so I could make space for what’s next. And who knows… it might inspire something for you too. Sending you lots of love from Canada 🍁 Peggy xo |

View in browser Hi Reader, Last Friday, the second Friday of January, is also known as Quitter’s Day. The day most people quietly let go of their New Year’s resolutions, yes, it's a thing 🙃 I wrote a full blog post about why this happens (you can read it here if you’re curious). But what really stood out to me this week wasn’t the statistics, it was the conversations. In several coaching sessions and in a few casual chats, the same theme kept popping up: 👉 we often forget why we started in...
View in browser Hi Reader, It feels good to sit down and write the very first Backyard Gossip of 2026. Our travels to Belgium were really special. If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, especially when living between countries, it’s this: time together has to be quality time. We organize our visits so we can truly be present, and we love sharing experiences rather than rushing from place to place. So that’s exactly what we did. We shared moments with friends and family, went to a...
