Hi Reader I just came back from a two-week break. No big trip. No grand adventures. Just a slower pace. The MBA semester has started again, and before diving back into the full swing of classes, I savoured some simple joys, like my Wednesday morning ritual. Every week, for 8 weeks straight, I joined a sunrise paddleboard group. No phone. No notifications. Just good company, water, light, and the quiet strength it takes to balance. 🌅 And honestly? That simplicity has been everything. It reminded me of a workshop I led with high school students this summer. I asked them a question: 👉 What’s one change you could make today to become the leader you want to be tomorrow? Their answers came fast. Lists. Ideas. Ambitions. But when I asked them to pick just one? That’s when it got hard. And isn’t that the case for all of us? We want to fix everything at once. Do all the things. Change the world. And then… we overwhelm ourselves. We get stuck. And nothing changes. Keeping it simple isn’t easy. But it’s the only way forward. So here’s your gentle reminder:
This is the first in a new series I’m calling Keep It Simple. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing stories and reflections on how simplicity shows up in leadership, business, and life. Because often, it’s the small, uncomplicated things that make the biggest difference. Your call to action for this week... 👇🏼 💬 What’s one small change you can focus on this week? Hit reply and share it with me—I’d love to cheer you on. Sending you love from Canada 🇨🇦 Peggy |

View in browser Hi Reader, This week I was reminded (again) of something we all know… but still need to experience over and over: Stepping out of your comfort zone gets easier. Not the first time though 😅 Earlier this week, I attended a leadership series event organized by the Chamber of Commerce. By the way, with a very powerful keynote speaker! And yes, I still go to these events on my own. Because I realized early on in life that if I had to wait for a friend to join, I would still be...
View in browser Hi Reader, Last week I spent a week skiing in Whistler, yes, I (we) had a wonderful time, and I was even in the Olympic Spirit 😊 ⛷️ And it reminded me of something I hadn’t thought about in a while: the joy of being a beginner again. Besides the two days of skiing last year, the last time I went skiing for a whole week was in 2014 😅 Over the past year, I’ve been embracing that beginner mindset a lot, mostly thanks to my MBA journey. When you’re learning constantly, you’re...
View in browser Hi Reader, A short and sweet note this week, I’m off to Whistler for a week of skiing ❄️⛷️ But, I wanted to share this little story with you... Last week, while sitting in a waiting room (one of those unexpected pockets of time), I decided to make the most of it and catch up with a few friends. And then I noticed something. I was texting people in Belgium, South Africa, USA, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Australia and yes, in Canada as well 😅 My gosh! In my MBA cohort alone, my...
