Hi Reader, The other day, I picked up a copy of one of my favourite magazines, Breathe magazine. My neighbour found out that I love reading it and handed me an old copy she still had lying around. And I noticed something that shocked me at first. They had published the exact same article about building new habits in both issues. Word for word. Same tips, same examples. The only difference? The two issues were five years apart. At first, I thought: How could this beautifully curated magazine reuse the same content? But then it hit me: Of course they did. Because when it comes to building habits, the strategies don’t really change. The fundamentals of forming new habits are the same today as they were five years ago. And isn’t that true in leadership and business? We often think we need to constantly reinvent the wheel. Find something new. Say it differently. Keep it “fresh.” But sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is… 👉 Keep it simple. Repeat what works. As a coach, I sometimes catch myself thinking: I’ve said this before, surely everyone knows this by now. But the truth is—most people need to hear it more than once. And often, we need to remind ourselves, too. Simplicity doesn’t mean being unoriginal. It means honouring what’s proven. And trusting that consistency beats novelty. Your Call to action this week 👇🏼 💬 Where in your life or business are you overcomplicating things by trying to reinvent the wheel? What would it look like to simply repeat what works? Sending you love from Canada 🇨🇦 Peggy |

View in browser Hi Reader, Last week I spent a week skiing in Whistler, yes, I (we) had a wonderful time, and I was even in the Olympic Spirit 😊 ⛷️ And it reminded me of something I hadn’t thought about in a while: the joy of being a beginner again. Besides the two days of skiing last year, the last time I went skiing for a whole week was in 2014 😅 Over the past year, I’ve been embracing that beginner mindset a lot, mostly thanks to my MBA journey. When you’re learning constantly, you’re...
View in browser Hi Reader, A short and sweet note this week, I’m off to Whistler for a week of skiing ❄️⛷️ But, I wanted to share this little story with you... Last week, while sitting in a waiting room (one of those unexpected pockets of time), I decided to make the most of it and catch up with a few friends. And then I noticed something. I was texting people in Belgium, South Africa, USA, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Australia and yes, in Canada as well 😅 My gosh! In my MBA cohort alone, my...
View in browser Hi Reader, Last week I had a not-so-nice reminder about something I talk about all the time: The importance of clarity. I had an upcoming quiz in my MBA program, and, wanting to prepare properly (hey, you know me 😏), I reached out twice to clarify exactly what we were expected to study. No response. Crickets. I went into the quiz thinking I had prepared for what was required… and walked out feeling frustrated and honestly a bit angry. Because what I thought we had to study...
