Hi Reader Moving into a new place brings excitement and adjustment. Part of that meant getting to know our neighbours. It will not come as a surprise that my word for 2025 is CONNECT. Since everyone in our apartment building is new, we started a WhatsApp group to connect. Sounds simple, right? Well, not for everyone. Many of our new neighbours are retired and downsizing, and let’s just say that technology isn’t always their best friend. So, I found myself playing tech support, helping several of them install and understand how to use WhatsApp 📱 During one of these moments, a lovely neighbour shared something that stuck with me. She told me how her late husband was a real whiz with computers. He explained everything to her, just in case, making sure she could navigate things on her own. She even had notebooks filled with notes. But he forgot one tiny detail—how to turn the computer on and off. Oh, and the password. 🫣 As she shared the story, a mix of frustration and fondness crossed her face. Even though she cherished all he taught her, that one crucial missing piece left her feeling stuck. And that got me thinking. What seems obvious to one person can be a complete mystery to someone else. We often assume people already know the basics, but what if they don’t? We’ve all been beginners at some point. So, if you’ve ever hesitated to share your knowledge because you think everyone must know this by now, take a step back. Embrace the beginner’s mindset. Someone out there needs to hear exactly what you have to share. And if you need an extra nudge to believe in yourself or get unstuck in your own journey, let’s chat. I’d love to help you gain clarity and confidence in a 1:1 coaching session. What’s something that once felt impossible to you but is second nature now? Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear your stories! Sending you love from Canada 🇨🇦 Peggy |

View in browser Hi Reader March in the Visionary Women program was all about decluttering. Not just your drawers or your desktop (though those count too), but simplifying your business — your systems, your subscriptions, your thoughts. And let me tell you, I’ve been practicing what I preach. Over the past few weeks, I’ve: 📩 Unsubscribed from over 40 newsletters that no longer resonate 🛑 Cancelled subscriptions and plans that didn’t have a strong ROI 🤔 Reviewed my credit cards and insurances...
View in browser Hi Reader Last week, I received the results of my latest personality test. This one was the Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI). It was a pleasant confirmation that I scored high on being an inspirational leader and that I excel in helping others develop. I suppose that COACH is still very applicable to me 😊 I’ve taken many personality tests over the years. I still remember my first one at 14, when I wrote the results down on a cool little card like it was my personal...
View in browser Yesterday, we were planning a day trip to the mainland. BC Ferries is the only option for car ferries, and I found a great deal—just $86 one way. But then... I got distracted. Just 15 minutes later, when I was finally ready to book, the price had jumped to $120. A 39.53% increase in the blink of an eye! A missed opportunity—and an expensive one as well! It made me think. How often do we say, "I'll do it next time" only to realize that next time costs us far more than we...
