I don't know about you Reader, but when I have something in my mind I want to achieve, I want to see the results NOW. Patience is a word that wasn't really part of my vocabulary until I started a journey that taught me its true value. Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally but from what you do consistently. In business and life, it’s easy to get discouraged when our efforts aren't turned into immediate results. We might post on social media a few times and then throw in the towel when we don’t get the engagement we hoped for. But just like anything, true progress comes from steady, consistent effort over time. And I was reminded of that not so long ago... At the beginning of the year, I set an intention to go for a jog/walk once a week. I’m not a runner by nature, and previous attempts to run three times a week often led to small injuries. But I knew that getting my heart rate up just once a week was something I could manage 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️ Now, halfway through the year, I’m proud to say I’ve stuck with it every single week! Along the way, I discovered two surprising things: I actually enjoy it, and I’m improving. I didn’t see either coming. 😅 I’m following a 0-5K program and taking it very slowly. The program levels up each week, but I take a whole month, sometimes longer, to move to the next step. Yet, I see progress—the 5K is within my reach. It might take another month or so, but it’s becoming a real possibility. The most significant change for me has been learning to be patient. Instead of wanting to achieve everything immediately, I’ve learned to embrace small steps. I often remind myself of my original goal: to nourish my health and stay strong. The 5K is just an extra bonus. Keeping that in the back of my mind I started to implement the same strategy in my business. Here are my biggest takeaways 👇🏼 Reflecting on patience in business
Your turn: Practice Patience Think about an area in your business, and life, where you can practice more patience. How can you take consistent small steps towards your goal? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this journey of embracing patience. Sending you good vibes from South Africa 🧘🏼 Peggy P.S. Remember, success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, but from what you do consistently. Keep going, and the results will follow.
