Hi Reader Last week, I received the results of my latest personality test. This one was the Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI). It was a pleasant confirmation that I scored high on being an inspirational leader and that I excel in helping others develop. I suppose that COACH is still very applicable to me 😊 I’ve taken many personality tests over the years. I still remember my first one at 14, when I wrote the results down on a cool little card like it was my personal fortune. Since then, I’ve collected quite a few insights into who I am and how I operate. Here’s my personality test lineup: 🧠 Myers-Briggs - ENTJ (Commander) – Big-picture strategist, decisive leader. ⚡ Manifesting Generator (Human Design) – the ability to quickly start new projects and respond to opportunities while also possessing the life force energy of Generators, which allows them to work diligently and sustainably on tasks they're passionate about. 🔥 Enneagram 8-7-1 – A mix of confidence, enthusiasm, and a drive for perfection. 🚀 Quick Starter (Kolbe) – Jumps into action and figures it out on the way. 💰 Sacred Money Archetypes – Maverick (risk-taker), Romantic (values luxury and ease), and Ruler (natural leader, business builder). 🧘♀️ Emotional Intelligence (ECI) – Understanding emotions in leadership. But here’s the real question: What do you actually do with all this information? Sure, it’s fun to recognize yourself in these tests, but the real value comes when you apply these insights to your business, leadership, and daily life. How Personality Tests Help Me in Business: ✅ Understanding my strengths and blind spots • My Quick Starter nature means I take fast action, but it also means I need systems in place to stay consistent and finish what I start. • As an ENTJ, I naturally lead, but I have to be mindful of not steamrolling people in the process. ✅ Knowing where to get help • My Manifesting Generator energy means I thrive on variety, but that also means I need team members who are great at follow-through and structure. • My Ruler archetype loves control in business, but my Romantic side reminds me to enjoy the process—so I look for support that helps me stay balanced. ✅ Communicating effectively with clients • As an Enneagram 8, I’m direct. Some clients love that, and others need a softer approach. Knowing my style helps me adapt my communication to make stronger connections. • My Sacred Money Archetype (Maverick) means I love bold financial moves, but not every client shares that mindset—so I adjust my strategies accordingly. ✅ Building a business that fits me • I know that a rigid 9-to-5 structure would never work for me—so I embrace flexibility while keeping enough consistency to stay on track. • I thrive on curiosity (thanks to my VIA Strengths), so I intentionally seek out new learning opportunities to keep growing. The Takeaway? Use Your Personality to Your Advantage. Your personality isn’t a limitation—it’s a strategy. The more you know about yourself, the easier it becomes to: ✔️ Work with your strengths instead of fighting against them. ✔️ Build a team that complements your gaps. ✔️ Communicate better with clients, partners, and employees. ✔️ Design a business that actually fits your personality and lifestyle. Now I’m Curious—What’s Your Experience? Have you ever taken a personality test that gave you an “aha” moment? Or do you think they’re just fun distractions? Hit reply and tell me your thoughts 👇🏼 Sending you love from Canada 🇨🇦 Peggy |

Let’s be honest, talking to AI can feel safe. You ask a question. You get an answer. No judgment. No discomfort. No...

View in browser Hi ReaderBy now, you know walking is a big part of my life. It’s how my coaching journey started, by reconnecting with nature and, eventually, myself. Hence the name, a Backyard Hiker, if you didn't make that connection yet 😊 First, it was giraffes and acacia trees, and then walking alongside my coaching clients. A lot of magic happens when you move. This week, something happened that reminded me of the power of a walk. When walking on campus, I noticed a classmate a few...
